Rhett brings more than two decades of residential construction experience to Pinyon, along with a deep appreciation for thoughtful design, quality craftsmanship, and the relationships that make every project successful. Throughout his career, Rhett has built a reputation for turning complex visions into reality, guiding projects from concept to completion with a steady hand, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional results.

Rhett began his career with Drees Custom Homes as a Builder/Project Manager where he developed expertise across every phase of the construction process, working closely with homeowners to bring their plans to life while ensuring quality, schedule, and budget expectations were met.

Building on that foundation, Rhett transitioned into a Construction Manager role, overseeing the scheduling and management of projects throughout Central Texas. His ability to align teams, anticipate challenges, and keep projects moving efficiently became one of his greatest professional strengths.

In 2016, Rhett stepped out on his own, allowing him to work on a diverse range of residential projects. Since then, he has completed dozens of custom homes and specialty developments, including accessory dwelling units (ADUs), tear-down remodels, ground-up custom residences, a condominium community, and a multi-building family compound. His work reflects a passion for thoughtful construction and enduring design, including a home featured on the 2024 AIA Austin Homes Tour.

Originally from Northeast Texas, Rhett graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2001 and has called Austin home ever since. He and his wife, Kristen, have raised their two children in Central Texas and enjoy exploring the outdoors together. An avid hiker and certified Wilderness First Responder, Rhett has spent countless hours on trails across the United States. Yet some of his best ideas emerge much closer to home—while walking the neighborhood with Kristen and their dog. His lifelong curiosity and thoughtful approach to problem-solving continue to influence both his work and the relationships he builds along the way.
